River Ridge High School

The $116M River Ridge High School Modernization project includes 80,000 SF of modernization, 121,000 SF of new construction, and selective demolition of existing structures on an occupied campus. Partnering with Bassetti Architects, the new school facilities includes substantial site work with new turf athletic fields, new tennis courts, new parking and bus loop, and access roads. Significant changes to the site required the reroute and installation of new facilities, including sewer, power, gas, and stormwater.

Absher is executing the River Ridge High School Modernization with little disruption to the campus by: leveraging early site work to prepare the site to support education and safety, placing portable classrooms to maintain learning spaces during long phases of construction, and using laser technology to discover inaccuracies in as-builts and prevent significant cost and schedule impacts.
