Pierce Transit Maintenance and Operations Base Infrastructure Improvement

This $63M GC/CM project is the first of four phases. The Maintenance and Operations Base is located in Lakewood and serves the entire bus fleet of Pierce Transit and over 100 Sound Transit vehicles. The project will increase parking and maintenance capacity of the existing base, while also bringing these facilities up to contemporary safety and operation standards. Our contract will include renovation, additions, and new construction, along with demolition of several buildings. All will take place in and around Pierce Transit’s existing facility, which will maintain normal operations and activities. Construction is scheduled to begin later this year and be substantially complete in 2024.
