Seattle Pacific University – Arnett Hall
Construction for Seattle Pacific University’s new, 150-bed Arnett Residence Hall involved the demolition of four existing wood frame homes, mass excavation of approximately 12,000 CY soils, and soldier pile shoring and lagging to support the four-story structure. The basement level and approximately half of Level 1 are garage parking, consisting of 69 parking stalls. The structure is four wood-framed floors over two floors of post-tensioned concrete decks for garage parking, consisting of 69 parking stalls. The remaining areas consist of residence units (149 beds), common areas (kitchenette and study rooms) and utility/storage areas. The exterior is primarily brick veneer and features an angled Mansard Roof. The project goal is to achieve LEED for Homes MidRise Silver certification, and it features a green roof. Work was completed in August 2014.
